ECOWAS Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture Visits Exhibition Boots of SIBVAO2023

Mrs Massandje TOURE-LITSE, ECOWAS Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, interacted with participants to the Livestock/meat sector in Abidjan and encouraged them in their efforts to promote the value chain in the region.

She congratulated and encouraged all stakeholders involved in the process as such platforms constitute opportunities for modernising the entire livestock-meat sector.

The 2nd edition of the West African Livestock and Meat Exhibition (SIBVAO) is being held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, at the Palais de la Culture de Treichville from 27th April to 1st May 2023 under the institutional patronage of the ECOWAS Commission and the Ministry of Animal and Fishery Resources of Côte d'Ivoire with the participation of ECOWAS countries plus Mauritania and Chad.

Mainly funded by the Swiss Cooperation, the main theme of SIBVAO 2023 is "Livestock-Meat Value Chain, a Tool for increasing regional Trade and Job creation in West Africa in a context of insecurity”.
