The ECOWAS Commission will convene a Technical Review Meeting on 25–26 August 2026, followed by the Ministerial Meeting on the Review of the Common Regional Agriculture Policy (ECOWAP) on 27 August 2026.
The meetings mark a key stage in the ECOWAP review process, building on consultations with Member States, ECOWAS institutions, technical partners and other stakeholders, including the regional meeting held in Banjul, The Gambia, in June 2026.
The technical meeting will review and finalize key documents for ministerial consideration, including the Draft Stocktaking Report, Perspectives for the Next Ten Years, and proposed Strategic Axes for the renewed regional agriculture policy.
The Ministerial Meeting will consider the outcomes and provide strategic guidance towards finalizing the Common Regional Agriculture Policy for West Africa.
